Varun Bavda, MSc (Integrated) Biotechnology

Indian institute of science education and research Bhopal; MMBL Lab (Dr. Vikas Jain)

I am a PhD scholar, part of Microbiology and Molecular Biology Laboratory (MMBL) under the supervision of Dr. Vikas Jain (IISER Bhopal, India). During My PhD tenure I have studied the physiological importance of toxic protein holin encoded by the Mycobacteriophage D29. I have also studied how the highly charged C-terminal domain of holin allows it to function in timely and efficient manner. I am further willing to pursue in the phage therapy and looking for postdoctoral opportunity. Also looking forward to be in touch with biotech companies working in the area of phage therapy.
