I discovered CRISPR adaptation to RNA during my PhD and then started BillionToOne Inc., a startup that specializes in NIPT and cancer diagnostics. I'm currently at UCSF building a platform to discover novel bacterial immune systems (like restriction enzymes, CRISPRs) en masse.
