I am currently working on DNA modifications in bacteriophages and archaeal viruses. I predict modification based on genome and then try to identify the modification thanks to a collaboration with mass spectrometry experts. I then validate the function of the genes by cloning them in E. coli or producing mutant in the phage, when the technology is available. Before that I was working on homologous recombination in phages and how it occurs in between divergent sequences. In the future, I want to target my research in annotating phages, especially genes expressed in the early phase that interact with DNA.

I am always looking to collaborate to identify the functions of proteins encoded by phages. I am ready to do in vivo experiments, cloning the genes and think to new assays to test ideas.
