I'm currently pursuing my PhD; checking over the interaction between bacteriophages isolated against enteric bacterial pathogens and mammalian host extracellular matrix proteins like fibronectin, collagen and heparan sulphate. The work was inspired from the mucin binding phages at the Barr Lab and extending the study on scope for their multiple interactions with the ECM and selecting specific bacteriophages with better therapeutic prospect.
