University of Leicester; Clokie Lab

I am a current PhD student in Prof. Martha Clokie's lab at the University of Leicester. My thesis studies the bacteriophage within the lungs of COPD patients. The aims of my thesis are to find what roles phage partake in COPD lungs and possible uses of phage therapy for those patients. I started my phage career under the guidance of Dr. Betty Kutter at the Evergreen State College. I spent my final year at Evergreen studying and executing a full time project in Dr. Kutter's lab. Upon graduating with a BSc in Biology, I continued work in her lab as a research associate and assistant manager.
