University of Leicester; Clokie LabI'm a 1st Year PhD student in Martha Clokie's Phage lab at the University of Leicester. My project centres around the use of bacteriophage to combat soft rot-causing bacteria in agriculture with specific interests in bacteriophage cocktail development, optimisation and dynamics. My undergraduate research project within Tim Blower's lab involved attempting to identify a novel bacteriophage resistance system present on pEFER. Moving to Newcastle University I undertook my MRes research project with Yulia Yuzenkova to investigate the regulation of M. smegmatis RNA polymerase by bacteriophage.
