Vésale Bioscience is a Belgian biotech, created in 2018 as a spin-out of Vésale Pharma.
We fight antibacterial multi-resistant infections (AMR) with our personalized phage therapy solutions:
- We have developed a fast diagnostic tool Inteliphage®, an automated Phagogram®, which can be easily placed in hospital laboratories and that will recommend in a couple of hours (instead of days/weeks) the optimal phages association (2 or 3) from our phage library to fight the specific patient’s bacteria.
- We will produce a library of phages in advance and speed deliver to hospitals the selected phages from the Phagogram® as API for tailored magistral preparations. This approach dramatically reduces the time-to-patient and increases the success rate of AMR treatments. This allows to treat acute and chronic infections at the hospital: already tested in more than 100 critically ill patients without major safety concerns. We expect to have our first sales in Europe in 2023.
