In the Blower lab we work on phage-host interactions, researching a range of phage-resistance mechanisms such as abortive infection, restriction-modification, and BREX. We employ techniques that include genetics, microbiology, biochemistry and X-ray crystallography. Durham University is a Top 5 UK university, set in a UNESCO world heritage site in the North-East of England.
