Tulane Ventures invests $250,000 in Biophoundry to advance engineered phage therapies

Tulane Ventures has invested $250,000 in Biophoundry, a Tulane University spinout developing engineered phage therapies for antibiotic-resistant infections. Its Phax platform couples computational phage design and selection with rapid phage engineering; the investment, with other angel and investor funding, will help launch a healthcare provider partnership pilot with a regional Gulf South hospital and complete preclinical work toward an FDA Investigational New Drug application.
