Talus Bio opens Ptarmigan-1, a structure-free small-molecule binding model, through a public portal

Talus Bio released Ptarmigan-1 on 1 October 2026, a model that predicts small-molecule binding sites across the human proteome without a 3D structure, including disordered proteins; access is through a public portal (ptarmigan.app). The company reports it runs 5,000 times faster than structure-based methods and, on a STAT6 inhibitor series, outperformed structure-based selection, with candidates validated in a third-party lab (company claims).
