Stanford launches a five-year Digital Brain Project

Stanford’s Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute has launched a five-year project to build predictive computational models of the human brain. Researchers will collect complementary brain-imaging and behavioral datasets using 7-Tesla MRI and wearable OPM-MEG, then train foundation models to study brain function and disease. The project plans to make its datasets and models freely available to researchers worldwide; these are planned outputs, not a completed model release.
