SNIPR Biome doses first patient in Phase 1b trial of CRISPR-armed phage therapeutic SNIPR001 in hematological cancer
SNIPR Biome announced on June 12, 2025 that the first patient has been dosed in its Phase 1b study of SNIPR001, an orally administered CRISPR-armed phage therapeutic that targets E. coli in the gut, in hematological cancer patients undergoing hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (NCT06938867) will enrol 24 patients at eight US centers and is co-funded by CARB-X; it follows a CARB-X-funded Phase 1a trial in healthy volunteers.
