Prof Martha Clokie urges rapid scale-up of phage therapies in the NHS as UK's first phage library nears opening

Prof Martha Clokie of the University of Leicester told The Guardian that experimental phage therapies need to be rapidly scaled up in the NHS to combat antibiotic resistance. She will direct the UK's first phage library, due to open at Leicester the following month, which she says will help fast-track phage use in the NHS and pave the way for the clinical trials needed for licensing.
