The Emerson Lab at the University of California, Davis is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a project in soil and/or rhizosphere viral ecology using omic approaches, particularly metagenomics and/or metatranscriptomics. We are looking for a postdoc with a strong bioinformatics background to dive into this exciting new field. There is a fair amount of flexibility with regard to project choice, including the potential to publish quickly by taking a leading role in the continuation of existing projects (e.g., spatiotemporal dynamics of soil viral and microbial communities under different management practices in a tomato/corn rotation), and/or the potential to develop a new project. Apply by Aug. 9, 2019 for full consideration.
