Four-year doctoral position in the Microbial Evolutionary Genetics (MEG) Lab led by Johannes Cairns, Department of Experimental Medical Science, Lund University. The project investigates how species interactions shape antibiotic responses, community composition, biofilm formation and resistance evolution in a defined four-species urinary tract infection model, combining longitudinal planktonic and biofilm experiments, experimental evolution, antibiotic dose-response assays, sequencing-based community analysis and statistical modelling. Requires a Master's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology or a related field and documented hands-on experimental microbiology. Preliminary start November 16, 2026; apply by October 12, 2026.
