PhagePro receives a $500,000 MassVentures START Stage III grant for its oral cholera phage medicine

PhagePro says it has received a $500,000 Stage III START grant from MassVentures supporting its work on fast-acting, orally delivered phage medicines to prevent bacterial outbreaks. Its lead program, ProphaLytic-Vc, is a shelf-stable oral phage therapeutic for people exposed during a cholera outbreak. The company reports it has sharpened the clinical plan and strengthened manufacturing work toward a first-in-human study.
