The Phage Hunters Training and Research Program (PHTRP) is taking applications for Cohort 005 of its Journal Club, a 12-week course for undergraduate and early-career scientists in phage biology and antimicrobial resistance. It runs from January 2027 with weekly virtual sessions and a phage-isolation wet-lab practicum in Nairobi, Kenya, at the end. This is a paid course: the fee is Ksh 18,000 (about US$140) for training and laboratory sessions, and travel and accommodation for the practicum are the participant's own cost. The application (expression of interest) deadline is 1 December 2026.
