NIAID awards $2.5 million for phage-therapy research in 2021

NIAID awarded $2.5 million in grants to 12 institutes for research on bacteriophage therapy—its first series focused exclusively on the approach. The projects address phage resistance, biofilms, host specificity, delivery, engineering and combinations with antibiotics.
