Newcastle PhD: mechanisms of ROS-mediated antibacterial killing

Newcastle University and LightOx are advertising a four-year NEEDL CASE PhD on lipid peroxidation, bacterial membranes and light-activated antimicrobials, starting October 2027. Funding includes stipend, tuition and research costs plus an industry placement. Home/UK applicants are eligible; international applicants should confirm eligibility because the advert’s UK-only label conflicts with its funding notes allowing limited international awards.
