Near East University isolates a third phage, NEU2025, and builds a triple cocktail against Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Near East University announced that it has isolated NEU2025, a third bacteriophage from a campus pond, found with La Trobe University (Australia); genome analysis places it in the Pbunavirus group and it targets multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa. With the earlier NEU2023 and NEU2024 it forms a "triple phage cocktail"; the rector says the next step toward treatment is completing the necessary legal procedures.
