MouseMapper maps nerves and immune cells across whole mouse bodies

MouseMapper combines deep-learning segmentation with cleared-tissue light-sheet imaging to quantify nerves and immune cells across 31 organs and tissues. In a Nature study of diet-induced obesity, the framework revealed nerve changes associated with impaired whisker sensing and mapped tissue-specific immune-cell clusters. The authors provide code and browsable whole-body maps; their code recommends Linux, a GPU with at least 24 GB VRAM and at least 64 GB RAM. New imaging datasets may require further fine-tuning.
