Mihály Koncz (HUN-REN Biological Research Centre, Szeged, Hungary) and colleagues combined phylogeographic analysis with phage typing to guide precision phage therapy, showing that a few carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii strain types dominate infections regionally, enabling development of effective region-specific phage cocktails.
