Marcin Borowicz receives NAWA Bekker award for tailocin ecogenomics project

Marcin Borowicz received a NAWA Bekker award (2025 edition) of PLN 288,500 for a two-year project at the Australian Centre for Ecogenomics, University of Queensland, Brisbane. “Ecogenomics of tailocins: viral legacy in microbial interactions” will study tailocins’ ecological and evolutionary roles in natural microbiomes using ecogenomics, metagenomics and ecological modelling.
