K27-targeting PRA33gp45 depolymerase reduces Klebsiella virulence and biofilms

The recombinant PRA33gp45 hydrolysed K27 capsule polysaccharides and inhibited biofilm formation, disrupted mature biofilms, and altered biofilm architecture. In a Galleria mellonella larvae model, PRA33gp45 treatment lowered morbidity and mortality after K. pneumoniae infection.
