Google Research introduces VERID, infrastructure for AI agents to run wet-lab experiments safely

Google Research introduced VERID on October 16, 2026: infrastructure built on the open-source PyLabRobot framework that gives AI agents live 3D state tracking, fast virtual dry runs, hardware safety checks and synchronized video and action logs for liquid-handling robots. The post does not state that VERID code is released.
