Generate Biomedicines and Zealand Pharma agree an AI-engineered protein therapeutics collaboration for metabolic disease worth up to $1.2 billion

Generate Biomedicines announced a multi-target collaboration and license agreement with Zealand Pharma to develop AI-engineered protein therapeutics for obesity and other metabolic diseases. Generate receives $30M upfront, up to $35M in early preclinical milestones and up to $1.2B in total milestones plus tiered royalties for two initial programs, with an option to add a third.
