Divergence Labs reports Claude-designed antibody parts that remove receptor-bound IgE (food allergy)
Divergence Labs published a preprint with Anthropic describing an agentic design campaign with Claude toward a biparatopic antibody that physically removes IgE bound to its receptor FcεRI, as a food-allergy therapy candidate. Of 91 experimentally characterized disruptor designs, 20 were active against receptor-bound IgE and three variants removed more IgE than omalizumab at 25-400 nM; de novo anchor arms bound IgE with apparent affinities of 3.4-235 nM. The two arms are not yet assembled and no cell or animal data are reported; the results are the company's own, early and preclinical. Announced 27 October 2026.
