BiomX announced positive results from its Phase 1 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled cosmetic clinical study in 75 subjects with mild to moderate acne. Their phage product (a topical gel comprised of a cocktail of naturally-occurring Cutibacterium acnes phages) was safe and tolerable, and reduced C. acnes levels compared to the placebo. The product should advance toward Phase 2 studies.
