bamviz brings BAM alignment browsing to the browser
bamviz is an MIT-licensed browser viewer for BAM read alignments, with contig navigation, coverage-density views, read details and mapping-quality filters. Files are processed locally. A coordinate-sorted BAM with its matching BAI index is the recommended workflow for large files; BAM-only viewing uses a slower sequential scan. An optional reference FASTA enables base comparisons. The early-stage viewer limits detailed viewport results to 100 sampled reads while reporting the full matching count and density summary.
