Armata presents data on controlled genetic diversity in AP-SA02 at ISSSI 2026

Armata Pharmaceuticals announced an oral presentation on September 21, 2026 at the 20th International Symposium on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections (Banff, September 20-24) reporting that defined genetic diversity in its AP-SA02 phage cocktail may enhance killing of certain Staphylococcus aureus clinical isolates. When a component phage was grown on isolates from the diSArm Phase 1b/2a study, select variants became enriched, and a phage stock lacking them showed reduced activity against some isolates; Armata says it maintains these variants through controlled manufacturing across clinical lots.
