Phage Human Cell Host Kill

Christian Møller-Olsen et al. just published an article in Scientific Reports showing that an E. coli phage can kill its host intracellularly, and that it kills more efficiently when human bladder epithelial cells are present. This corroborates findings published earlier this year in the same journal by Jinyu Shan et al., who found that a C. difficile phage kills its host more efficiently when human colon cells are present.
